A young girl has grown tired of her quiet life and longs to travel outside of her all too familiar town. Upon returning home from a long day she finds a surprise waiting for her that might just make her wish come true, though not in the way she expected.
Responsible for all aspects of production except modeling/texturing. CG models by Marc Mons and VirtualMaker on Turbosquid. Sound effects from freesound.org. HDRIs from HDRIHaven.
VFX Breakdown
A breakdown of the visual effects behind two key shots in the film.
The most challenging aspect of this project was doing it alone, meaning I was responsible for the story, script, acting, cinematography, filming, editing, and color grading, as well as the visual effects work. However, it has given me valuable insight into the process for the entire pipeline, allowing me to better understand the craft of each related department and the challenges for the artists within them.
