Senior Studio II - Post #14

Over the last few days I worked more on the leaves on the ground as well as the maple leaf for the close up, by continuing to add or adding in the textures maps from Quixel and adjusting them.

I began working on fixing the edge where the leaves meet the water, by using a layered shader assigned to the plane for the water which layers leaves on top of the water based on a mix map which keeps them only at the edge. This is not quite working yet, but I am liking how it looks in the lower right corner of the frame and want to get that effect in the other areas. I also dialed back the effect of the zdefocus as I felt the amount of blur was contributing to an overall miniature feeling.

I think the leaf is looking better but not there yet, it feels like a fake leaf at the moment. I also added two lights to better shape the leaf.
